Employment: Service Advisor


Job Description:
A Skip's Tire the Service Advisor operates in a fast paced environment and assists in all of the daily activities that happen in the store including assisting and counseling customers; meeting or exceeding sales and profit objectives established for themselves and their location. Store managers are promoted from within whenever possible, and ultimately this is a manager in training position. This job requires you to have a great attitude and a true desire to help people. Service Advisors appreciate a results-based compensation program which rewards your success and is one of the strongest in the industry.

A few sample responsibilities for the Service Adviser position include: customer relations; consulting with customers and recommending solutions based on their needs to ensure customer satisfaction; and protecting Skip's Tire's integrity and reputation for honesty.

Our expectations are high, and the requirements for the Service Adviser include: honesty, reliability and a positive, energetic attitude. A good understanding of the products and services we sell and the willingness to continue to learn and stay current with this knowledge. Knowledge of automobiles and auto component functions; willingness to learn; willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends; good verbal and written communication skills, including superior listening skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to project a professional appearance and demeanor; ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment; etc. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is preferred.

This position requires you to be on your feet for long hours and frequently lift over 60 lbs.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a friendly, energetic, outgoing personality with attention to detail and enjoys working in a retail environment.
  • Open to learn and adapt to an ever changing marketplace.
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry is preferred and ASE Certifications is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills and strong work ethic are required.
